TUTORIAL[3]: Basic setup

Basic setup:

To fish with a rod and line (we will not discuss net casting etc here), you will need the following required equipment:-

1. A rod

2. A reel

3. Fishing lines on your reels. (a.k.a mainline)

4. Swivel to tie the main line to.

5. A rig, a short transparent line where the hooks are attached. You can tie or buy them in ready pack. For beginners, get the ready pack ones.

6. Another swivel at the end to allow the weight to be attached.

7. A weight, to give enough load to the line to be able to cast it out, and bring the line AND your bait to the bottom of the water.
